There are always things you ponder when going to a new place, and we have started to learn what you are curious about, so we have gathered everything into a few points below.

WHO CAN COME TO THE CASTLE?

Everyone who has made a reservation is welcome!

CAN WE VISIT THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT A ROOM?

Of course, we welcome all guests! Just remember to book your table online so that we can welcome you and ensure that your table is ready.

WHEN IS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?

We welcome our guests from 3:00 PM and would appreciate it if you could inform us by the day before if you will be arriving after 6:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM on the day of departure. For conferences, check-out is after breakfast.

WHEN CAN WE HAVE BREAKFAST?

Our breakfast is served à la carte from the kitchen. From Tuesday to Friday, breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00ish. From Saturday to Sunday, breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:00ish.

PARKING

On the island, there are 2 car parks that are freely accessible to hotel guests. If you wish to leave luggage, you are welcome to drive up to the castle entrance. We can also assist with parking your car. There is a disabled parking space at the castle.

ANNA & LARS

You don't see them very often, but they are usually hiding in the shadows or working on other tasks.

DOG

Dogs are warmly welcome to the castle! They are allowed to stay overnight in one of the pavilion rooms. No additional charge applies.

NUMBER OF ROOMS

In total, we have 27 double rooms, 13 of which are located in the castle, including 3 suites. The suites are not necessarily the largest but they are the rooms we have a particular fondness for, featuring plenty of luxurious products from Aesop and comfortable duvets from Happy Fluffy Cloud. In the pavilion, which is beautifully situated by the lakeshore just 50 metres from the castle, there are 14 rooms.

SCENT AND SOUND

What is that smell? At The Norrmans Castle, we engage all the senses with specially produced scents wafting through the corridors and lounges. If you are allergic or sensitive to fragrance, the castle may not be the right place for you. These special scents are complemented by matching sound effects for a maximum overall experience!

BOUTIQUE

Here you can purchase all products from Aesop that we use, as well as the blankets from Happy Fluffy Cloud found in the suites and available as options in other rooms. Occasionally, we sell little surprises curated by Anna or host a pop-up shop. Follow us on social media to stay updated on what's happening.

ELECTRIC CAR

We have one charging point for electric vehicles. Simply leave the keys at reception and we will take care of the rest. Reservations are not possible and are subject to availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For bookings made at the castle, the following cancellation policies apply. For private overnight stays with fewer than 8 people (for 8 or more, the same rules as for conferences apply), free cancellation is available up to 1 week before. For conferences, a 50% deposit is required 3 months in advance, with full payment due 1 month prior. For exclusive rental of the entire castle, a 30% deposit is due 6 months in advance, 50% 3 months in advance, and full payment 1 month prior.

ACTIVITIES

What can you do besides enjoying all your senses at the castle? There are books and games scattered throughout the castle, and outside during the warmer months, you can play croquet, boules, and kubb. You can also borrow our stand-up paddle boards and head out onto the lake (unfortunately not during April-June when the birds are protected). If you want to go running in the woods when it's dark, there is a headlamp and reflective vest available to borrow. We also highly recommend a hiking trail somewhere in the nature reserve that surrounds the castle.

CHILDREN AT THE CASTLE?

Our primary focus is to create an interesting and relaxing environment. We create experiences for adults, and many of our guests choose to leave their children at home. However, if you feel that your children fit into the environment and do not disturb those who wish to relax, the same conditions and prices apply as for adults.

INTERNET

Although we are only 30 minutes from Malmö, mobile coverage at the castle is not always perfect. We have thick walls, so sometimes you need to step outside to take phone calls. We see this as an advantage. It is nice to set down your phone occasionally and enjoy without distractions. Of course, we do have internet and Wi-Fi, but it’s not the fastest, so please download everything in advance if you have large files or conference presentations that you need during your stay with us!
